Leftover roses from a Valentine’s Day just passed plus possibly the most feminine top I own, these are the makings of an impromptu shoot at home.  I must have tried this top on twenty times, always changing right before leaving the house.  As feminine as it is… it is also quite bold in color, in shape, in crop, in all the things that take me a step out of my comfort zone.  But still, I was drawn to it.

I wanted this look to be delicate and soft, so I left my skin mostly bare– just adding a splash of tinted eyebrow gel, some pink blush, and pink lipgloss. I don’t think you’re necessarily more comfortable in your skin as you get older… just less energetic and less willing to apply a full face of makeup (or even just concealer) at 9pm.
