I’ve been back in Los Angeles for about a month after visiting Seoul for the first time.  It was somewhat of a spontaneous trip for me- I thought about going on Monday and left that same Friday!  Gangnam was my home base and was where I spent most of my time, with afternoons spent walking around Myeongdong, Garosugil, and other nearby neighborhoods.  Even amidst a streak of summer humidity I had the best time exploring the city with my best friend, Soohee.  From visiting the Dior Café to receiving skincare treatments at Grand Plastic Surgery, I decided to bring you along as I shopped and ate my way across South Korea!

Our Air BnB in Gangnam had the most beautiful view of the city.  We were extremely jetlagged 90% of the trip, but watching the sunrise every morning almost made it all okay!

Part of what I love about traveling is visiting places that are so modern yet rich with culture at the same time. On this day we visited the Bukchon Hanok Village then took a walk around the Palace. It was closed, but we were still able to visit the Gwanghwamun Gate.  Wearing Dita sunglasses, Topman t-shirt, Givenchy bag.

South Korea is known as one of the top powerhouse countries for plastic surgery and skincare treatments, so I knew I wanted to get something done… I just didn’t know exactly what.  I went to Grand Plastic Surgery Center in Gangnam, for their Dermatology Clinic, for a consultation and ended up receiving a handful of treatments focused on firming and improving the texture of my skin.  I shared my entire experience here!

Coffee, croissants, and oddly timed meals made up the majority of my diet.  I usually never suffer from such sever jetlag, so I wish I would’ve stayed longer… just to eat more!  That being said, I did get to enjoy a lot of really fresh fish (read: still moving). More in the video!

I’m not even sure if the video does it justice, but the Dior Café was just gorgeous.  From the atmosphere to the pastries, I 10/10 recommend treating yourself to lunch here if ever in Seoul.  I also filmed a makeup tutorial on this day at the Moonshot Flagship store in Samcheong-dong!  If you want to see how to get the look I have here, head over to this video.
