The highly anticipated MAC x Nasty Gal limited edition collection became available this past Thursday, December 4th.  The collection boasted three matte lipsticks and a matching nail lacquer all in deep, sultry shades.  I rushed to the nearest MAC to stock up that same evening and, unsurprisingly, one of the three lipstick shades had already sold out.

Although the “bombshell red” Stunner was sold out, it was the “deep violet” Gunner and the “sultry burgundy” Runner that stood out to me the most anyway.  I wish that the collection had special packaging like some of MAC’s other collaborations, but overall I’m pleased with the products.  Aren’t they perfect for Winter?  The collection doesn’t include matching lip pencils so I stocked up on MAC Lip Pencil in ‘Currant’ which matches Runner perfectly and has just enough deep plum undertone for Gunner as well.  I love how bold Gunner is on its own, but I definitely think that layering it with Runner gives a much more wearable look for days when purple lips just aren’t appropriate.
