Keratin Tip Hair Extensions Q&A and Transformation

You probably already know by now that I’m a big fan of keratin tip hair extensions, also known as keratip extensions or ktip extensions for short. I received so many questions about the cost, process, and upkeep following my last “Keratip Hair Transformation Vlog,” so I decided to film a little Q&A with my hair stylist while having my new set installed. You asked, we answered.

Keratin Tip Hair Extensions | Questions Answered

Q: How much do keratin tip hair extensions cost?

Q: Does it matter what brand of hair I buy?

Q: What texture should I buy?

Q: How long do the extensions last?

Q: How do you take care of them?

See my video above for the full, in-depth answers!

There are so many different brands to choose from, but I use the Bellami Keratin Tip (K-Tip) extensions in shade “Off Black”.  I didn’t always use Bellami, but after a horror story (one word: dreadlocks) with the last brand I was loyal to, I knew that I needed a switch.  I’ve always been a fan of their clip-in line, so I knew their quality wouldn’t disappoint.  It’s been about a month now since they were installed, and so far so good.  Still super silky and tangle-free.

No matter what brand of hair you purchase or who you see to have your hair installed, keratin tip hair extensions are an investment, so I highly recommend doing your research and going to an extensions specialist! If done incorrectly, keratin tip extensions can be very uncomfortable and damaging to your natural hair.  If you’re in the Los Angeles / Orange County area, my stylist is Maribel Nuñez at Sabino Salon.  She is a Bellami Hair Professional accredited stylist, and I’ve been seeing her for years.  If you’re considering a hair transformation, I definitely recommend contacting her for a complimentary consultation.
