I Got Petite Plastic Surgery in South Korea! My Experience + VLOG

As some of you may or may not already know, I got Petite Plastic Surgery in South Korea while on vacation last month!  I’ve always been interested in testing out new beauty treatments, and I believe in being honest about the things that I do, so I decided to document the entire day and share it with you in the video below.  I hope that if you’re considering receiving Petite Plastic Surgery, too, that you find all of this information helpful!

First things first, Petite Plastic Surgery in South Korea refers to temporary, non-surgical procedures using laser therapy and injectables.  Petite Plastic Surgery offers a more natural look with little to no downtime compared to the increasingly popular extreme surgeries that Seoul is famous for.  Every treatment that I received was non-invasive and temporary, lasting an estimated 6-ish months each.

Seoul is littered with Plastic Surgery Clinics so I knew that I had a lot of research to do.  In the end I decided to visit the Dermatology Clinic at Grand Plastic Surgery in Gangnam because they were one of the top rated and safest clinics in the entire country, and because they frequently worked with foreigners and even offered personal interpreter services to ensure that I could communicate seamlessly with the doctors.

When I booked my appointment I wasn’t actually even sure what I wanted done or what they offered, but I was told that the most popular Grand Dermatology Clinic treatments were injection based treatments like PRP (overall rejuvenation), Rejuran Healer (salmon DNA/hydrating purpose), or V-line Dermatoxin (botox on dermis layer for tightening purpose) and laser based would be Doublo (lifting) and Aqua Toning (pigmentation).  I was informed that necessary treatment would be prescribed on a case by case basis on my actual skin condition by the in-house Dermatologists.

After voicing my skincare concerns and having the doctors inspect my skin texture and general face shape, they decided that the Doublo, Rejuran Healer, Masseter Botox, and V-Line Dermatoxin treatments would be best suited for me.  Watch my video if you’d like to see my entire Petite Plastic Surgery journey! This is what Grand Plastic Surgery in South Korea says…

“Doublo

What is Grand’s Doublo?

Doublo is a machine used in a non-invasive facial lifting procedure that uses high-intense and direct ultrasonic waves, called Hypeknife, to target SMAS layer (the later placed between the dermis and facial plane) and pull the layer up. This equipment is revolutionary to solve the root cause of aging so that saggy skin and deeper wrinkles can be improved.

Why Grand’s Doublo?

-More precise treatment possible by monitoring a treatment area

-Short duration of procedure

-Approved by Korean FDA as the equipment of ‘eyebrow lifting’

-Possible to treat both the dermis and SMAS layer (the facial plane)

-Possible lifting effect with just one session

Dermatoxin

What is Grand’s Dermatoxin?

Grand’s dermatoxin is a new Botox treatment different from existing Botox treatment and is also known as Mesobotox or Skinbotox in Korea. It creates multiple treatment spots on skin layers and works on skin layer without numbing muscles. Dermatoxin is expected to improve skin tightening, reduce pores and fine wrinkles..

Why Grand’s Dermatoxin?

-Fine wrinkles can be naturally improved with lifting effect which makes the facial shape smaller and slimmer.

-Dermis is stimulated to modify dull skin tone to brighter tone and the size of pores is reduced.

-The treatment area is not limited to certain area so facial lifting effect spreads throughout the face.

Botox

What is Grand’s Botox?

Grand’s Botox is an injection which is effective in developed masseter caused by the muscles and wrinkles. When Botulinum Toxin is inserted, the muscle in the injected area is locally paralyzed so that the developed muscle prior to treatment gets undeveloped and creates slimming effect. Therefore, it is the most preferred procedure among non-surgical methods.

  • Sorry, Grand is the most sued hospital in Seoul with a few deaths from surgery. Their dermatology department should be safe enough though.

  • Hi Lauren! Your skin concerns are very similar to mine so this interested me a great deal. I am going to South Korea soon and am wondering what this package costs. Thank you for sharing your journey with Grand Plastic Surgery.

  • Thank you for sharing this post! I really needed more information about other procedures because I had a Rejuran in Singapore but I think I am ready to try something different.
