Venice Beach, CA | Photo Diary
Just got back from a quick getaway to Venice Beach, California. Candis (our bride-t0-be) and her bridesmaids planned a beautiful beach house bachelorette party for a few days. Most people would probably head to Vegas for a bachelorette party instead of away, but relaxing on the beach one month before her destination wedding in Thailand couldn’t have been a more perfect idea. Road trips aren’t so bad with a some snacks, Mariah Carey, and the promise of Los Angeles weather in the near future.
The house was right by the Venice Boardwalk so we had a bunch of cute little shops and cafes to wander around. I got the best dirty chai at Schulzies, but I admit I’m mad at myself for not saving room for their “amazing” bread pudding (Shark Tank & Food Network endorsed).
Thank you to Sound Nightclub & DBA Hollywood for all of the hospitality on Monday night.
Important to note: Rolling around with a group of 10+ attractive young women is very difficult, coordination wise… but I highly recommend trying it. I think I finally understand how it feels to be a Spice Girl. It’s also mandatory for superstar girl groups go night swimming.
Backpack: Mansur Gavriel // Boots: Nasty Gal
I pulled a “Justin Bobby,” homegirl wore boots to the beach….
Mini-polaroids: Cheki Fuji // Digital camera: Sony a6000
A couple of homemade ice cream sandwiches later we bonded with Cliff (I hate your cheerleading squad, but I love your pompoms) and Travis (rollin’ with the homies) over this drugged out bird. I hope you had a fulfilling childhood and you know who I’m talking about.
Nappy beach hair and all, we stumbled across this hair salon with “Karma Based Pricing,” aka you set the price based on the Universe. Maybe I should’ve left more for my blow out, so my phone wouldn’t have cracked on the way back to Vegas…
Celebrating our latest chart-topping hit single, oh and our bride too.
I apologize for pouring water on you in the car. You’re lovely.
Thank you to Bootsy Bellows for the hospitality. And the puppet show?
Trying to decide if googling “how to ride a bike” would help at all.
In-N-Out to ease the pain of going back to the desert. If I didn’t think I would get killed, I would share with you all the rap battles and dance offs I filmed. Just know, they’re gooood.
