The NARS x Steven Klein Dark Holiday

I rarely suffer from the fear of missing out, let alone for a party in Yonkers… but this is definitely an exception.  François Nars and Steven Klein transformed the historic Alder Manor into a dark, glam, and extravagant launch party to celebrate the NARS x Steven Klein upcoming 23-piece holiday collaboration.  Sections of the Manor were transformed into a series of haunted house vs couture bondage installations by Nars, Klein, fashion show producer Etienne Russo, and creative director Nicola Formichetti.  Guests were greeted by an LED sign flashing, “Remember, Satan was the first to demand equal rights,” before they were ushered through a variety of scenes including sex dolls, stilettos, and lots of fishnet.  It all appeared to be a little out-of-this-world and in a word, fomo.

François Nars told WWD. “I choose artists that don’t compromise—that is key. They don’t have any boundaries or limits to their work, they follow their instincts and are true to themselves.”
