At the Café

It seems like plans never quite pan out how you expect them to.  A day initially reserved for a Star Wars complete saga marathon (May the Fourth be with you) transformed into a long lunch of catching up with one of my favorite nomads at our local pâtisserie… or so we thought.  Just a heads up: Pâtisserie Manon is closed on Mondays!  In the end, we braved a pending storm

Live Love Layer

They say that Spring is the season for “light layers,” don’t they?  Lately I’ve been all layered up thanks to my latest Rocksbox set, featuring jewelry from House of Harlow 1960, Jenny Bird, and the masters of all things layered– Gorjana.

Pizza My Mind

Dressing like a serious adult is all well and good, but sometimes you just want to kick back and have a pizza party.  Theres just something so playful about throwing on a graphic crop top, a pleated skirt, some exaggerated accessories, and letting your hair go wild.  I’m turning 24 next month and I’m constantly torn between feeling like a teenager and feeling like a grandmother.  Oh well, theres always pizza.

Royal

When I’m on the go I tend to fall back into the same uniform again and again– monochromatic with a little pop of color.  It may be a lazy habit that I often resort to wearing all black, but I love the look of it and can’t bring myself to disagree with Yohji Yamamoto.  The trick to breaking up the monotony of an all black outfit is to mix textures and shapes;  some

New Jewelry Every Month | Rocksbox

We’ve talked a lot about beauty subscriptions and blind boxes in the past, but today I am introducing a new monthly service that caters specifically to the accessory fiends.  Rocksbox is a monthly subscription service that loans you a set of premium jewelry every month based on your own personal style.  You can send your boxes back as frequently as you would like for a different set to wear, or if you

Dusty Pink Duster Coat

Have you noticed the erratic weather lately?  In Vegas it’s been so strange; one day this week it was 70°F, and the very next day it was snowing.  Transitional pieces are my go-to’s during times like this, when it seems like nothing in my closet is weather appropriate.  This dusty pink duster coat by Style Moi is one of my new favorites.  Not only is it light enough to wear during the Spring yet warm

Laced Up

With a taste of your lips I’m on a ride, you’re toxic I’m slipping under…  About a week ago I made it out to see Britney Spears at Britney: Piece of Me, her residency show at Planet Hollywood.  Britney Spears plays 50 shows a year here in Las Vegas, and having grown up to her music I knew I had to watch her perform.  I briefly considered dressing up for the

Insta-Details of 2014

In honor of tomorrows New Year* I’m sharing some of my favorite Instagram outfit shots of 2014.  When it comes to Insta I usually concentrate on the details of an outfit… spare the shameless mirror-selfie, of course.  These snaps highlight my love of mixing high-end with streetwear, and also how much of a photo bomber my cat is.  I also want to say a big Thank You to all of my readers

Camel Teddy + Faux-Leather Midi

It’s officially begun to hit below freezing here in Las Vegas.  While I’d love to stay curled up on the couch in a big comfy sweater, the Holiday Season brings with it a slew of parties making it necessary to leave the house.  In weather like this, when a slinky mini just doesn’t seem appropriate, I love the idea of a fitted faux-leather midi.  This Bikini Luxe dress seems sophisticated yet

A Touch of Chloé Gold

I’ve never been one to don loud costume jewelry or over-the-top accessories*.  Call me boring, but I gravitate more towards a simple gold chain or a wrist full of stacked gold bangles.  My bold statement necklaces are usually reserved for my most daring of moods, but more often than not I prefer subtle touches.  When I wandered into Chloé I wasn’t expecting to find anything I loved amidst the 70’s bohemian revival, but
