Lancôme Paris #AllEyesOnYou
If you’re stuck in June Gloom and need a reminder that Summer is just around the corner, this is it. I recently received a package from Lancôme Paris full of the creamiest, most colorful and smudge-resistant eye pencils a girl could ask for — alongside every other vibrant #AllEyesOnYou essentials. From Drama Liquid-Pencil Extreme to Artliner Precision Point Eyeliner, Lancôme Paris promises high-impact, super pigmented formulas that stay all day and compliment any skin tone. Keep reading for color swatches and the full low down on their latest eye essentials~
Drama Liquid-Pencil Extreme
This Longwear Khol Eyeliner glides on creamier than any other pencil I’ve ever used… almost reminiscent of a liquid, even. I tried to wash the swatches off with soap and water and they just wouldn’t budge until I grabbed the Lancôme Paris Bi-Facil Makeup Remover, so you can put faith in the longwear claim. After swatching these drama liquid-pencils, I fell in love with the most unexpected shades. Not sure yet how I would wear Soleil (bright yellow) or Baroque (matte lavender), but they looked so striking that I can’t wait to experiment. Other, more obviously lovely shades, include Lame (metallic white gold), Parisian Night (pearlized midnight blue), and Ampoule (pearlized purple).
Drama Liquid-Pencil Extreme Swatches Left to Right: Ampoule, Baroque, Paradis, Macaron, Soleil, Lame, Lumiere, French Lace
Drama Liquid-Pencil Extreme Swatches Left to Right: Noir Intense, Embrase, Pluie, Brûlée, Cote D’Azur, Minuit, Parisian Night
Color Design Eye Brightening All-In-One 5 Shadow & Liner Palette
I received the Lancôme Paris All-In-One 5 Shadow & Liner Palette in Beige Brûlée, which would have been my first choice if asked. The powder is so silky and easy to apply– one swipe of my brush created so much highly pigmented powder, that really less is more. The idea of this palette is to take you from day to night, with “a mistake-proof look that is effortlessly even, perfectly bright” and I can’t disagree. As for the 8-hour wear claim, I think if you prime your eyes properly this palette definitely has the potential to last that long.
Must Have Mascara Triple Threat
I don’t habitually use a mascara primer, but I hear good things about the Cils Booster XL Super-Enhancing Mascara Base. It claims to be a lash-conditioning mascara primer that will maximize the results of your favorite mascara, although as far as I can tell it has just helped to emphasize the illusion of thickness. The purpose of the white base is to allow “the black pigments to stand out from the clean base with more intensity,” and is packed with micro-fibers and Vitamin E.
The Lancôme Paris Hypnose Drama Instant Full Body Mascara has been a favorite of mine for ages, mostly because of the amazing curved brush. Clumping is my pet peeve for mascaras, and I’m always hyper sensitive when judging that aspect– but I never worry with Hypnose Drama. The brush, which is my favorite part, is curved to an S- shape to grasp and evenly coat lashes from root to tip.
Bi-Facil Double Action Eye Makeup Remover is the most gentle yet powerful oil makeup remover. Often considered a cult favorite, I don’t think you need any further convincing.
Artliner Precision Point Eyeliner
Similar to the Drama Liquid-Pencil Extreme in that the formula is of highest quality and the colors are vibrant, the Artliner liquid eyeliners are ideal if you prefer a slightly thicker brush tip. So far they’re great for topping my black wing liner for a subtle hint of color, but I admit that I haven’t perfected creating a delicate wing with them yet.
Artliner Precision Point Eyeliner Swatches Left to Right: 021 Cuir, 022 Chocolat, 012 Violet, 019 Amethyste, 016 Jade, 015 Menthe, 017 Azur, 013 Saphir, 01 Black
