The Heavy Metal Band Shirt

One of the biggest trends of Summer ’16 has been the casual, effortless cool of the vintage band shirt.  Beyond just vintage, artists like Justin Bieber, Kanye West, Zayn Malik and more have stylized their tour merch to give a nod to rock tee’s of the past.

Not just for the festival, band shirts are super easy to dress both up or down– and bonus: they look great with a serious case of bedhead.  On this day to run errands I paired it with some black jeans, my favorite “crinkled” texture Givenchy bag to emphasize the vintage feel, and some ankle boots.  They’re great with shorts and an oversized blazer too, or even as a dress with thigh high boots (go a few sizes up for this).

On my lips I’m wearing the lip pencil Soar by Mac topped with the new Pixi MultiBalm in shade ‘Wild Rose’.  The MultiBalms are really hydrating and you can actually use them on your eyes, cheeks, and lips– so I’m looking forward to packing some next time I travel.  I’m also wearing Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation, Marc Jacobs Air Blush, and Gerard Cosmetics Star Powder highlighter.  I opted for natural lashes this day, but I’ve been yearning for eyelash extensions again!  Does anyone else go back and forth with loving/hating them?
