Borghese Classic Italian Beauty
I think we all get caught up in routine from time to time. Personally, I get comfortable with wearing a “natural look” for weeks on end (read as: swipes of mascara with lazily blended concealer and chapstick). Enter Borghese, a company that “combines classic Italian beauty and modern sensibility,” to remind me that getting dolled up once in a while isn’t a crime.
Borghese Beauty was kind enough to send me enough product to create two full-glam, red carpet looks from start to finish. Although I don’t plan on accepting a Grammy anytime soon, building something award show worthy can make any night feel extra special!
Artista Exact Match Concealer
$30 | 0.30 Ounces | A soft-focus sensation, this kit contains three shades which allow you to custom-blend for a professional finish. This eye-brightening formula applies evenly, easily. Diminishes dark circles, blemishes, and perfects. Squalane and Vitamin E help moisturize and protect. Concealer brush included.
The idea with this three color concealer wheel is kind of genius. Not only do you have three different colors to cater to the differently toned problem areas you may have, but you can also custom blend them or use as contour. The best thing about this concealer is that a little bit goes a long way. Application brush included.
Eclissare ColorRise Blush
$30 | 1.0 Ounces | Wearable, neutral shades perfect for any skin tone. Exceptionally pure pigments for an even distribution and a more natural glow. Color glides on smoothly, perfectly providing a flawless finish. Sculpts, contours and defines cheekbone. Thrill- pale, dusty pink.
Honestly, I was nervous when I received this blush. Thrill is a deeper shade than I usually choose for myself, but it provided a really natural glow and complimented the Eclipse 5 Shades of Desire eyeshadow palette perfectly.
Superiore State-of-the-Art Mascara
$19.50 | 0.30 Ounces | Looking for lashes that go to great lengths? We found the perfect brush that lifts and separates, coats and curls. We combined it with the perfect formula; a silk powder and panthenol-fueled mascara that creates full, almost endless and intense coverage. Provides superior volume, definition and extension.
As someone who prefers false eyelashes, I can be really critical of mascara. I would classify the Borghese Superiore Mascara as lengthening and defining as opposed to voluminizing as the description would have you to believe. That being said, the formula is really nice and clump-free.
Eclissare ColorEdge Eye Pencils
$21.50 | 1.0 Ounces | Pure, intense and true to color. Long-wearing, zero smudge. Rich and creamy formula for a ultra smooth, easy application. Perfect for subtle definition and bold smoky look. Graphite Night- creamy charcoal with a hint of metallic. Brownout- rich, true brown.
These eyeliner pencils are amazing. They are hands down, the most long-wear pencils I’ve ever used. Brownout is so highly pigmented and smudge resistant, and Graphite Night is a really pretty shimmery gray with the same waterproof formula.
Eclissare Color Eclipse 5 Shades of Desire
$29.00 | 2.0 Ounces | Exceptionally pure pigments for an even distribution and extra smooth, fluid application. Crease-proof. Long lasting with or without primer. Light and luxurious formula with true, vibrant intensity. Made in Italy from the finest, artisanal quality pigments. 5 Shades of Desire – Seductive and sensual. An assortment of shades in hues of mahogany and wood in shimmer, matte , satin and metallic finish. Whim- pale soft yellow satin. Yen- warm beige matte. Yearn- warm cocoa satin. Seek- dark chocolate brown with multi-dimensional shimmer. Crave- bright, chestnut shimmer.
The Shades of Desire palette is perfect for a natural brown smoky eye at night, or for quick crease definition during the day. I find myself grabbing for these colors more frequently than I do my Naked palette as of late. Its small size ads such convenience; it easily fits into my on-the-go makeup bag.
Eclissare Color Eclipse 5 Shades of Sultry
$29.00 | 2.0 Ounces | A saturation spectrum of 5 Soft-Lit to All-Sizzle shades. Color that overshadows. Completely transcends. In finishes that you’ll find a phenomena; so-smooth mattes, polychromatic pearls, gleam-and-glow metallics. Color with depth, dimension and luminance, it’s tempered desire may change the way you see color. Lit- a light white-silver metallic pearl. Vapor- a medium grey, blue overtones, metallic pearl. Smolder- a dark smoky charcoal, high frost finish. Fume- true black, matte finish. Scorch- medium, glitter-laden graphite-grey.
The Shades of Sultry palette is definitely much more intense. The colors are all lightly metallic to compliment the Graphite Night eye pencil, and really well pigmented.
Eclissare ColorStruck Lipsticks
$25.00 | 0.13 Ounces | Vibrant, color-saturated lip crème. Multi-dimensional infusion of pigment and pearl for a fuller lip illusion. Shine, smooth, creamy, radiant and available in 12 tantalizing, color-rich shades. Dare- shimmery, deep fuschia. Edge- deeply tan, brown nude.
Super creamy and super pigmented, these Borghese lipsticks are a close second favorite right behind the eye pencils. Edge is a darker nude than I usually select, but looks great with a light peach gloss over it. Dare is ultra metallic and deep, deep, deep fuchsia. It is a bold lip color if ever there was one.
When you feel like getting dolled up, which Borghese look do you go for? The natural smoky Shades of Desire eye with the bright red lip, or the dark smoky Shades of Sultry eye with the deep nude lip?

The two shadow palettes and the blush look like winners. I’m such a fan of Italian beauty and the overall Italian style.
