A Touch of Chloé Gold

I’ve never been one to don loud costume jewelry or over-the-top accessories*.  Call me boring, but I gravitate more towards a simple gold chain or a wrist full of stacked gold bangles.  My bold statement necklaces are usually reserved for my most daring of moods, but more often than not I prefer subtle touches.  When I wandered into Chloé I wasn’t expecting to find anything I loved amidst the 70’s bohemian revival, but surprisingly I came across two of my current everyday-staples.

I’m aware that I suffer from Ariana Grande’s left-side-of-face syndrome.  With freshly cut short hair and a deep side part, it just so happens that I favor posing with my left side to the camera (fun fact: a study found that the left side is everyones good side).  The Chloé Babeth Gold-Plated Ear Cuff helps to break the monotony with a modern mix of class and edge.  Although a bit of a splurge for an ear cuff, I strongly believe in putting only quality metals onto your body.  The trick is not to lose it.

The Chloé Double Ring Gold-Plated Necklace is definitely more everyday-wearable than the ear cuff.  It’s length and the way it hangs are also a lot more ’70’s inspired and true to the brands aesthetic.  I love to pair it with a slouchy deep-v tee, or a buttoned up boyfriend blazer to add detail to otherwise fleshy looks.  It’s one of those quality pieces that just goes with everything.  (Similar HereHereHere)

What are your go-to pieces?  Do you usually go for gold, or silver?
